Notes on Chapter 4, 5 and 6 have been available to you for a few weeks now. Please note that up to last week we had up to ten students still without a text. Please note that it is important that you find a way to access a text as it will greatly assist and contribute to your grasping the course contents. The notes alone will not be enough as they are a compilation of relevant points from within the chapter and does not contain exercises that will be required for grading.

Monday:

Personal Web pages Checked, individually. I hope you have been keeping current and your WebPages are great! As I do this you are to begin Chapter 4 or work on your extra credit assignment. I want no distractions so that I can focus on getting through everyones webpage today. Note that if you use class time for the extra credit then you are required to work on chapter 4 at home.

Chapter 4 The Basics of JavaScript
4.1. to 4.5

Please note that in this course WWW we are taking a bit from all other courses. Each on its own can very easily use up an entire semester. I am sure that many of you are now currently enrolled in a JavaScript Class.

As stated on page 129 of your text “This chapter takes you on a quick tour of the basics of JavaScript, introducing its most important concepts and constraints, but leaving out many of the details of the language.” Those details, I believe will be covered in another class dedicated to the language.

Wednesday Chapter 4 Discussed
